Council Ring

This is a walk-in site. Guests park vehicles in the main lot near the lodge. The Council Ring campsite is a primitive backpacker or hike-in campsite. Completely on the other side of camp than most of the rest of the sites, the Council Ring campsite has a large built-in fire ring in a field perfect for star gazing. A 5-10 minute hike takes you across Silent Bridge from the Lodge and up a winding path to the meadow at the top of a hill, where the old Council Ring from Takimina's Camp Fire days still stands. There is plenty of space to pitch a few tents and spend a few days in this secluded campsite. Exploring miles of trails is a favorite pastime of our guests who enjoy the Council Ring site!
