Rentals, Activities, and Partnerships
Camp Mudd
For more than 40 years, Camp Mudd has used Camp Takimina’s 30 acres of forests, hills, creeks, and fields to host its summer day camp for Columbia‑area children. Their themed weekly sessions, outdoor activities, and field trips make full use of our natural setting and lodge facilities, creating a safe and memorable environment for learning, exploration, and play. We’re proud to support Camp Mudd’s long‑standing tradition of helping kids connect with nature and build lifelong memories on our property.

City Garden School
City Garden School, a private K–8 program inspired by Waldorf education, uses Camp Takimina as one of its two campuses to support its arts‑integrated, nature‑immersive approach. During the pandemic, City Garden successfully brought learning into the woods and continues to hold Nature Intensive sessions on our property throughout the school year. Their students benefit from hands‑on outdoor experiences that complement their academic curriculum, and we’re proud to provide the natural setting that helps make this unique educational model possible.

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
